In 2019 Highrock MetroWest hosted a 5K fun run in support of mental health resources for teens and then held a rockin’ party to celebrate. We raised enough money to sustain locally offered youth mental health first aid courses for several years, and we partnered with people from all over to spread some light in a dark season.
In 2020, Highrock MetroWest joined with sister churches in Arlington, Cambridge, Lexington, Quincy, and Highrock Online to support six amazing organizations providing care for teenagers and families facing challenges to their mental health.
In those first two years we donated over $40,000 to mental health resources for teens!
This year we’re back in person at Highrock MetroWest! On December 5th join us for a classic 5K race experience with professional timing, pre- and post-race snacks and warming stations, and some holiday fun for the whole family. We’d love for you to join as a participant or volunteer. For those who can’t make it in person, consider registering as a virtual participant to support the cause from wherever you are!
The proceeds of this fun run will go to the following carefully selected organizations that connect teens to the resources they need to live more hopeful lives. Together we are working for a brighter, healthier, more joyful future!
Needham Youth and Family Services (Needham, MA)
Arlington Youth Counseling (Arlington, MA)
NuPath, Inc. (Regional resource based in Woburn, MA)
Families for Depression Awareness (National resource based in Waltham, MA)
Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Boston, MA)
Interfaith Social Services (Quincy, MA)
December 5th at 1:00pm
Register
Whether you walk, jog, roll, or stroll, people of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate!
Lend a Hand
Are you interested in supporting this cause but not by walking or jogging? We would love to have you join us as a volunteer! We'll need help preparing for the race and taking care of participants on race day. No prior connection to our (or any) church is necessary. There are volunteer opportunities for families and children as well as adults and teens, and our Race Director can sign off for student service hours. All abilities welcome.
Donate
Feeling inspired to give without jogging? Go ahead and fill out the registration form but click “I want to donate only” instead of registering for one of the events. You can then specify your donation amount and pay through the form. You can also contact any of the organizations to give directly.
