About Our Speaker

Doug Calhoun brings over 40 years of pastoral ministry experience to his teaching and training: 12 years with university students here and overseas with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and over 30 years in churches in Boston and Chicago. He received his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is a spiritual director and retreat speaker. Doug has also served in missions around the world, overseen the formation of short-term mission programs, and now serves as board chair for Del Camino Connection. Doug’s passion is to wed the “being” of our deepening heart’s transformation in Christ with the missional “doing” that impacts the whole world with the love and grace of Jesus.

Doug and his wife Adele are certified Enneagram trainers and have presented workshops and retreats together in the US, Europe, and the Caribbean. They serve as adjunct faculty for The Transforming Center (IL) and the Soul Care Institute (CO). Having recently retired from co-pastoring Redeemer Community Church in Needham, Doug and Adele now serve Highrock as co-pastors of Spiritual Formation. They have been married over 40 years and have two children.
